Scarborough Gymnastics Academy was established in April 2002 and is situated in the
North Yorkshire seaside town of Scarborough - UK. The club was originally based at both Scalby Secondary and Newby Primary
Schools. As the club developed and increased the number of its weekly participants it became impractical to set up and clear
away the apparatus for each session. Limited by the schools timetables and capacity meant the waiting list continued to grow.
After 5 long years of searching and lots of hard work & enthusiasm the club finally moved into its brand new specialist gymnastics
facility in September 2008. With these dedicated facilities the club continues to grow and is able to offer a diverse range of
classes and timetables catering for all ages from 14 months to Adults.
Gymnastics Fun For All! - Learn new skills, meet new friends & have lots of Fun!!! The Club has a wide variety of activities
and currently provides competitive and recreational opportunities in gymnastics for age 14 months to Adults.
SGA offers recreational classes in General Gymnastics, Women’s Artistic, Team Gym, Trampolining, Pre School gymnastics, Adult
Gym and Boys Gladiators as well as offering alternative children’s parties. SGA is an up and coming gymnastics club whose
competitive reputation is becoming established both regionally and nationally. Gymnasts currently compete in Women's Artistic,
General Gymnastics and Teamgym disciplines.
Our highly qualified team of CRB checked coaches are friendly, approachable, hard working and enthusiastic. The club has been
awarded with the GymMark accreditation from British Gymnastics which is the UK National Governing body for the sport of gymnastics,
promoting a nationwide standard for safe, effective and child friendly gymnastics clubs.
The ethos of Scarborough Gymnastics Academy is to provide and make "Gymnastics FUN for All"
